Current scope: FX (FromX) is currently a social-media, media and community platform. Marketplace, shop, checkout, shipping or escrow modules may be reintroduced in a different form. Provisions concerning those modules apply only when the respective function is visibly enabled.
For automatic translations and external link previews, text, URLs and technical request data may be processed by configured translation, preview or infrastructure providers. The specific providers and legal basis depend on the active configuration.
1. Controller
The operator of FromX.net is responsible for data processing. Final operator details must be maintained in the legal notice. Contact: info@fromx.net.
2. Technical access data
When the site is accessed, technical log data such as IP address, time, requested URL, browser, operating system, referrer and server status may be processed for operation, troubleshooting and security.
3. Account and profile data
FX processes registration data, profile name, email address, password hash, account state, roles, premium status, login times and member settings to provide the account and platform functions.
4. Listings, posts and uploads
Texts, categories, prices, locations, images, videos, audio files, stories, social posts and listing status are processed to publish and manage marketplace content.
5. Contact data and address data
Phone numbers, messenger settings and address data remain private unless actively released, required for a transaction or legally necessary.
6. Verification documents
If members request verification, uploaded identity documents or proofs are processed for review, fraud prevention and platform trust functions.
7. Messages, reports and blocking
Private messages are processed with sender, recipient, content, timestamps and read status. Reported content may be reviewed by administrators or moderators.
8. Payments and shipment tracking
For checkout, wallet, PayPal, Bitcoin, escrow status or shipment tracking, FX processes the data required for orders, payments, payout assignment, fees, delivery status and fraud prevention.
9. Legal bases and retention
Processing is based on contract performance, legal obligations, legitimate interests in secure platform operation, or consent where required. Data is retained only as long as necessary, subject to legal retention and evidence obligations.
10. User rights
Users may have rights to access, rectification, deletion, restriction, portability, objection and withdrawal of consent under applicable data protection law.
Content checks and external previews
New posts, product submissions, public profile changes and stories may be held for administrator review. Automated text and image checks: disabled; administrator review is used without transmission to the moderation provider. Automated results are indicators, not legal decisions. You may contact the operator about a moderation decision.
External preview content loads only after you activate it. The external provider then receives connection data, including your IP address, and may process additional information under its own policy.
Retention workflow
Automatic cleanup is disabled (preview only). Configured intervals: 30 days after deletion of a post or completion of a content review; 30 days after completion of identity review or replacement of identity documents. Legal holds and ongoing reports take precedence. Older identity documents without a recorded review date require manual assessment. Backups and external copies require separate operator-controlled cleanup.
